New Years Day ,   Easter ,  Memorial  Day ,   Monday after Yawgoog Labor Day , Christmas

Class A Uniforms are worn doing Normal Scout Meetings Scout Shirt (tucked in)  with all Required Patches

 (including Patrol Patch) Green Pants & Scout Related Belt.

  Class B Uniforms are worn After a Scout has attended a Weekend Activity  where he has been wearing his Class A.

 Class B Uniforms are also worn during the Summer Break of School. After School is let out and the SPL Announces the Wearing of Class B Uniforms for the Summer Time Class B is Scout related Tee Shirt  & Green pants & Scout Belt.

A message from your Advancement Chairman

After you have had your Scoutmaster Conference with the Scoutmaster and you feel that you are Ready for your Board of Review.

You ( The Scout ) first need to make a appointment with Mr. Dresslove for a date for your review normally the next Scout Meeting.

When you come too the Review be sure you are in FULL SCOUT UNIFORM . All Patches Rank etc are in order.

When you come to the Review be sure you have reviewed all your past ranks and you are Ready  This is not a test but a review of all your Scout Skills

May 21-Thursday Troop Committee Meeting 7 PM Parents are welcome to attend.


May 20th- Wednesday  The troop will be assisting with the Miracle League at the Sawmill YMCA. Mr. Giordano asks that all who can participate arrive at 5:30 PM. This is the service project for the Disabilities Awareness Merit Badge. Use the link MIRACLELEAGUEMERCER.ORG to fill out the volunteer registration form under the forms tab. Our meeting will be at sawmill YMCA on the 20th, class B UNIFORM, Sneakers ,no cleats as the field is rubber. Please remember to fill out the registration form and bring the completed form to the YMCA that night. We meet at 5:30 PM and we should be done by 7PM. I encourage all to stay for the game

May 11- Monday At 6pm the new leaders had some training on leadership before the regular meeting was started The Troop Meeting was held at 7pm rifle Safety was instructed for the Troop Campout in June.

May 8 Friday to Sunday Troop was camping at Sandy Hook. The Oceanography merit badge was worked on so was fishing 12 Scouts attended.

April 06 Monday 7:00 pm Scout Meeting will be held Order of the Arrow Elections will be held. It is important that we have a good turn out this night. Need 50% of Scouts too attend. All OA members please wear your OA Sash.

Friday to Sunday March 13 to 15 Ski Trip to Shawnee Mountain Ski Resort was again a great success

Saturday February 20 to 21 or 22 We attending Quakesen's / Mahalala's Annual Klondike Derby which was held at Pine Hill Scout Camp. This was really special since we not only had sow on the ground but more came down ( about 4 inches ) It was cold but everyone had a great time. Thanks to all the adults who made this a GREAT event.

 

Saturday, February 7th, For our winter Court of Honor. Over 70 people attended our COH which recognize the efforts of our scouts and Scouters since summer camp.   a dinner was held after at Rose of Sharon Lutheran Church. A presentation about summer camp was given by Mr. Hines. A presentation for Friends of Scouting was given by Mr. William Parks of District 2 Garden State Council BSA. Our Troop Charter was Presented to us By our Troop Commissioner Chris Aziz.    

    After the Dinner some of the Scouts Prepared Mac & Cheese for 80 people for the Service Project for Sunday afternoon. Thank You to Mr. & Mrs. Liedtka, Mr. & Mrs. Hines, Mrs. Tuller & Scoutmaster Chris Giordano for Supervising. Thank you to Matt Liedtka, Tyler Hines, CJ Giordano, Flint Tuller who was there to 7:30pm cooking. Too all the Scouts who helped cook.

Sunday February 8th, 10:00 am - Scout Sunday services at Rose of Sharon Church. Scout Sunday coincides with the birthday of scouting (105 years old) and following the 12th point of the scout law: A scout is reverent

Sunday February 8th, we conducting community service by helping with the Isiah Project sponsored by one of the local churches Holly Cross Lutheran Church  to provide a hot meals to those who are in need. The troop made a baked macaroni and cheese meal. It was given  to the needy at too local Motels in our area

.

 Feb. 03 Tuesday Held a Eagle Board of Review for Zach Snyder. Proud to announce the 63 Eagle Scout for the Troop

Jan. 16 to 18 Friday to Sunday:  Troop 112 did its annual Merit Badge / Advancement Campout It was held at Pine Tree Scout Reservation which is one of my favorite Camps. Also this year we did Leadership Train for the Scout Leaders in the Troop. It was good Fellowship and learning experiences held by all. The meals were great and we had a Birthday Cake for our New Junior Assistant Scoutmaster. Dinner Saturday for most of the Troop was Salad ,Venison Steaks & Baked Potato's.
Thank You too all the Scouts and Scouters who attended and made this event a success.

Dec. 08 Monday:  Troop 112 & Pack 112 did Christmas Caroling at the Masonic Home meeting at the Home 6:30pm  Santa Claus was there doing the Caroling.


Dec. 5 Friday: Tree Lighting North Hanover Twp. Jacobstown 7pm


Dec. 01 Monday:    Christmas Wreath Decorating at The Scout Hall Rose of Sharon Lutheran Church was a great success.


Dec. 19 Friday:   The Troops Charter was turned into Council this marks Troop 112 50th year since we were started on Nov. 1965 Happy Birthday Troop 112.


November 22  The Scoutmaster thanking the President of Garden State Archery Club for letting use us their Facilities. It looks like we will have a long friendship with them.

 


November 22 The Troop  did School House Road Clean up.

 


November 22 Scouting for Food Pick up was held.

All Foods went to The Rose of Sharon Lutheran Church (our Sponsor) We also helped the Pantry distribute the Foods in the Building.


 November 15 Scouting for food drop off begins all scouts are urged to partake in this event. Bags will be given out on  Monday November 10. Mrs. Takliwala is in charge (Taher's Mom)


November 01 Postponed to November 08   Paul Bunyan was postponed to next Saturday the 8th of November because of the Rain. The Event was held at Smithville Burlington County Parks .

Oct 24 - 26   Pioneering Campout Pine Tree Scout Camp Tabernacle NJ 10 scouts plus adults where in the woods of Pine Tree Scout Reservation. On Saturday Mr. Chappell came and taught Pioneering Skills to the members of the Troop. Mr. Dresslove came out also to visit the Troop. A good time was had by all

Oct. 13 Justin Albano had his Eagle Board of Review Before Troop 112 special Board of Review In Attendance were Ronald Dresslove Advancement Chair, William Chappell Asst. Advancement Chair, James Puvel Committee Member and Chris Frajgier Representing Council. It is with great pleasure too inform everyone that Justin Albano is now Troop 112 61 Eagle Scout Congrats Justin

Sept 05 t0 07  OA Ordeal Pine Hill Scout Camp Congratulations to SAI Nayan MALLADI & MATTHEW LIEDTKA Formally EXCEPTED & BEING TAKEN INTO THE BROTHERHOOD OF THE ORDER OF THE ARROW. MR. CHAPPELL, MR. DRESSLOVE & SCOTT SWINGER WERE WORKING IN THE KITCHEN


August 11 the Troop had their Annual Planning Section keep a lookout for the New 2014-2015 calendar


Aug. 08 to 10 Gettysburg Campout   We left from the Rose of Sharon Church on Friday at 8:30am. We had lunch about 12:30pm then erected our site and then preceded to do the Confederate Trail ( 4 1/2 miles). When we returned to our site we cooked up some Aluminum Foil Dinners boy were they good.

  We awake on Saturday early had Breakfast and made our Lunch for The Union part of the Trail 10 miles. the Scouts returned about 6pm missing the Visit from the Schwarz. They prepared a Dutch oven Fest again a other Meal fit for Kings .

We woke up Early Sunday had a quick Breakfast Dropped Camp and went to the Museum. We left the Museum  made some lunch and we were on the road by2:30pm arriving home about 6pm. One great trip. A special thanks to Mr. & Mrs. Hines who arranged the Trip.

 

   


Taher is had his Work Day for his Eagle Project on Tuesday July 22 from 7:30 AM to 3 PM at the Jacobstown Firer House.


Summer camp was July 13 to the 19th. 2014 week 4  Trexler Scout Reservation Pocono's Pennsylvania.  

Great Program, Food was Great too. It looks like we will be heading back next year Scouts will take it up for a vote at the next planning PLC.

June 30 George Melman-Kenny Passed his Eagle Board of Review & Rang the Church Bell @ the Rose of Sharon Lutheran Church. George is Troop 112 Sixtieth Eagle Scout.

 


June 28 FRANKLIN CENTER JUNE 28 a great time was had and a lot of walking waiting for pictures to post


June 21 The Troop and Pack 112 took part in the Strawberry Fest at the Rose of Sharon Lutheran Church. We got lots of praises for our Hot Dogs which were really good. Our Burger weren't bad either. A special Thank You to the Scouts & Scouters who helped make this Event a Success. A Job Well done


June 06 to June 08 We  headed for South Park Hunting Club for our annual Weekend of Shooting Fire Arms and Bows. This as always was one of our best outings. Here are a few pictures if you would like to see more check use out on Facebook


May 26 Springfield Twp Memorial Day Service We Met at 10 AM. After the Ceremonies Refreshments were served. For picture checkout Face Face Book


May 24 North Hanover Twp Memorial Day Parade. We Met at the Rose of Sharon Lutheran Church a 11:00 AM Parade Starts at 11:30am After the Ceremonies at the Jacobstown Firehouse there was Hot dogs and refreshments served.


May 24 Road Clean up School House Road We Met at the Rose of Sharon Lutheran Church at 8:45 AM we started at 9:00 AM in Class B Uniforms


May 23  Flag Placement at William Doyle Cemetery Friday we Met at 4 PM in Class A Uniforms.
